Confused, perplexed, baffled would be some synonyms off the top of my head.

ie "That question really stumped me!" = "That question really confused me" = "That question has me baffled"

Actually it seems what I saw from the game I thought about wan't exactly the box itself.
So I'll go with my last thought : is it Circle the Wagons ?
It corresponds pretty well to the restrictions we found til now especially the "not eastern at all" comment
