Tutorial
Each game has its own tutorial that teaches you the rules within a few minutes effortlessly.
If you are already familiar with the game, you can click on the 'Skip tutorial' button.
Training
Training mode is available as soon as you have completed the tutorial game.
In this mode, you can pick your opponent among a list of bots.
The games played in this mode count for the Bot challenge (wins are recorded for that purpose). However they do not count for any other purpose.
Playing in training mode can be interesting if you have a bad Internet connection: once the game is started, you do not need a connection any more.
There is no time limit in training. However you will get disconnected after 2 hours of inactivity.
Full play
Full play is available as soon as you have earned the white meeple (by winning the tutorial game or by playing an extra training game).
Full play is the normal mode of play in which games are played online. In this mode, you can earn all meeples and all rewards.
When you request an online match, Happy Meeple tries to match you with a human opponent of your strength. If this is not possible, then you will play against a bot. This guarantees that you will never have to wait for an opponent.
In this mode, thinking time is limited to 2 minutes per move against human opponents (10 minutes against a bot).
If you want more options (like playing with a friend), please enter the inn and open a table from there!
Play with a friend
Clicking on the 'Play with a friend' button is equivalent to opening a table in the inn via the 'Access by link only' option.
It is the only way for new players to play online when they don't have a white meeple yet.
A link to the table is generated. Share it with your friend!
By clicking on the link, your friend will be redirected to the table. The game will start immediately.
Your friend does not need an account.
Inviting a new player is a good way to earn gold.
